The fish is sublime and the octopus salad is the best we had in our trip in Portugal. Outside of the tourist area, this restaurant is frequented by locals as well as tourists. Do book in advance for dinner. But the vibe during lunch is actually better.

The fish was extremely fresh and perfectly grilled with olive oil, fresh garlic, and parsley. Squeeze of lemon tied everything together. Vegetables looked unassuming but was cooked in a savoury broth and had lots of flavour too.

Broadly recommended!! The food is amazing, fresh, and real Portuguese. The waitress was kind and very welcoming. I arrived at the opening time, so I didn’t wait to get in, but I saw the queue growing after a couple of minutes. Consider arriving early or making a booking, and bringing cash! (no card payments)

Great food great portion, local hard working people. Seafood rice is only served on Sunday (that was the motivation I chose there tbh), but the beef steak and fish didn’t let us down . The octopus starter was soooo fresh that we ordered 2 portions in a row. The only reminder is that CASH ONLY. So my husband had to run out to get some cash that was the only downside. Overall if we had cash I’d give 10 out of 10.

Octopus salad and tomato salad - octopus was super tender.
Sword fish and fried prawns - absolutely incredible. The meal was nothing short of perfect, huge portion size.
Dessert was Bolo de Lagos, recommend by the manager. Was really nice. Not too sweet, you could really taste the real ingredients they used.
I almost forgot to mention that it is extremely well priced.

This place was recommended to us by our Airbnb host. It is located in a quieter area of the old town of Lagos. Great patio space. We had the seabass and portuguese steak. The food was good, nothing too special. Service was friendly and quick. Reasonably priced. Would go again!

Had the Sunday special which was the seafood rice and pork with clams which Tiago suggested. I also got my portion of vegetables separately. It’s a family run restaurant. Too full to have desserts, but I’m sure they would be yumm just like their food

A super local restaurant, we had the seafood rice and I had the Purim Flan which was amazing! Both big portions and we were served by the lovely Paulo who was a delight!

Great local restaurant, good prices and very good quality food. We went on a Sunday to try their rice-seafood speciality and it didn’t disappoint. We ordered it for 2 and would be enough for 6! We also loved the shrimps and the clams. We would definitely go back! Tip: go in advance and make a reservation, it gets full quickly.

The waiters were kind and full of positive energy. We asked for for food recommendation and the fish and beef we have been suggested were really exquisite. The portions are abundant for the price you pay. A wide variety of tasty desserts are also offered. The place gets full quite fast, even mid-week, so reservation is recommended. Also, be prepared to carry cash, as ypu cannot pay by card. Overall, a fantastic culinary experience mixed with local ambience, a must-go if uou are in the area!- Reservation

The potatoes have peeled skin and also an incredible umami flavor. The sea bass was the best I've had in Portugal for half the price. My wife had the sol and daughter the salmon. Remember to bring cash because they do not take credit card. 6 huge entrees with wine and 3 desserts for 133 EUR. I can't wait to bring my parents here as they love whole grilled fish. What an amazing dinner I had tonight! I can't describe how good it was. The food was stupendous, very hearty and flouvourful. The waiters were friendly and professional enough. I went to this place 2 times during 3 days of my holiday in Lagos. I strongly recommend this place.

Amazing Portuguese food!! We had the seafood rice for 2 people (they only serve it on Sundays) but it could easily feed 4 people. It was delicious and flavourful. The athmosphere was lovely and the staff even more so! They were very kind and attentive and had great suggestions! I highly recommended the seafood rice! But they take cash only so keep that in mind!

This restaurant is one of my favourites in Lagos. They serve authentic Portuguese style food, with meat and fresh fish on the menu. The food is always consistently delicious and the family who runs it is so hospitable and kind to us.
